Ronaldo hints at possible Italy move

Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that he would be interested in a move to the Serie A. After winning three Premier League titles with Manchester United, Ronaldo is now on course to claim his first La Liga title with Real Madrid this season. He has been vital in the club’s championship charge by scoring 43 goals, making him joint top scorer of the league with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.  While Ronaldo maintains he is happy to stay with Los Blancos for the time being, he refused to rule out a possible transfer to Italy in the future.

However, the Portuguese is unlikely to do so until the standard of the Serie A matches that of the Premier League and La Liga. ” I respect the Italian league but right now it is third behind Spain’s [La Liga] and England’s [Premier League]. But never say never. Someday, why not In Italy? There are fantastic teams like Inter, AC Milan and Juventus,” Ronaldo shared with Mediaset. ” I’m proud to play for Real Madrid because I have fun; when you no longer have fun it’s a sign that it’s time to leave.

For now though, I’m happy here at the greatest club in the world.” Ronaldo considers manager Jose Mourinho as an example to follow, especially the manner in which his compatriot has achieved success in every league he has taken on. ” Mourinho is an amazing coach and his trophies say it all: he’s won in Portugal, England and Italy, and this makes him the best,” he stated. “To me, being the best means proving it in different countries and championships, Unlike others, Mourinho has done exactly that; it’s simple.” Real Madrid have a chance to wrap up their La Liga title when they visit Trans7.
